The importance of an answer to a question.

26 years ago today, a rather short man holding a book looked up at the two of us and asked Jan a question that fantastically changed my life for the better. Why she responded to that question by saying "I do" will forever remain one of life's greatest mysteries. But she did, we have, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Happy Anniversary to Momma G, my wife and best friend!

Wow! An anniversary! Thanks for the great example of a marriage that's a friendship & that's also lots of fun. We're also glad that Momma G said "I do." Otherwise, it would have been strange for us to call her Momma G.

Happy Anniversary!

@mab - Strange for you to call her Momma G, no doubt, but imagine how odd it would be for me, waking up next to her every morning. And what would we tell the kids?

Well, Steve, if she hadn't said "I do," it would have really been awkward for you to wake up next to her each morning. She might start each day by saying: "You again? Quit following me! I told you that I don't!" That would make the very presence of your children quite puzzling. So, rather than pondering these mysteries of life and the great What Would Have Been, we shall just join with you in celebrating the fact that she did, in fact, say "I do."

Now, I can't wait any longer for the wit and wisdom of Papa Steve. Therefore, I have tagged you. See my blog to know what's up with that.
